A wise man once said a candle loses nothing by lighting another candle. In that spirit, we created Candles Lighting Candles to be a place to uplift, support, and encourage each other, and to share the Word of God with Christians and non-Christians alike.
We are here to listen, share, learn and discuss not only God but all facets of the world. Politics, current events, news and health are some of the topics we face here. There are many issues which impact all of us and effect us daily. This board is a place for us to come together and discuss these topics from a Christian perspective, and we welcome all non-Christian members to share the same with us from their perspectives.
Candles is open to Christians and non-Christians alike. As Christians we are here to shed God's Light and spread the Good News to to all corners. We are in the world and cannot hide from the difficult topics that are part of our existence. With His Help we stand ready to face what this world has in store. In Him all things are possible.
We believe the Scriptures to be the written Word by God and declare His design and plan for mankind.
We believe there is only One True God–revealed in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the Trinity.
We believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God's son Jesus was both human and divine.
We believe in the Virgin Birth, the Resurrection and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
We believe in Salvation through Grace and one Road to Salvation, through Jesus Christ.
Guidelines and Rules
Candles Guidelines and Rules are fairly simple.
Treat the Lord with respect. Ridiculing Christianity or God will not be tolerated.
No blasphemy.
No taking the Lord's name in vain.
No attacking other members. No name-calling or harrassing of others. Please treat other members with respect.
No excessive cussing or abusive language. Remember that this is a Christian board.
No questioning the salvation of other Christians.
No attacking any church or denomination.
No cults promoted and no cult recruiting.
Thank you for your understanding of the importance of not disrupting the other forums with this issue.
No proclaiming why your church is The One True Church.
No proclaiming why your interpretation of Scripture is the only correct interpretation.
No spamming.
No smoking. :)
No selling of products or solicitation for money. While it may be sincere, we cannot vouch for either the product or poster.
DO NOT BRING YOUR PROBLEMS OR ISSUES WITH ANOTHER BOARD OR FROM ANOTHER BOARD ONTO THIS FORUM. LEAVE YOUR PROBLEMS WITH OTHERS OFF THIS BOARD. This will bring about an automatic banning.

Continued violations of these rules will result in warnings. Three warnings will result in banning.
We want to promote the healthy exchange of ideas and thoughts with others in a respectful manner. Faith can be a highly volatile subject and we realize that disagreements are inevitable. We hope that everyone can come to an understanding of other's position, but sometimes we must simply agree to disagree.
We are not here stifle communication or censor. As long as members obey the rules the board will flourish as a witness to God.
We reserve the right to change the rules as needed.
