The 2005 survey was sent to 2,000 church leaders with the goal of ranking the nation’s fastest growing churches and churches with more than 2,000 weekend attendance. The 127 churches nominated for the 50 Most Influential Churches survey were located in 32 states and represented 27 affiliation groups and/or denominations. The term affiliation is used to include networks of unaffiliated, independent churches.

More than 2,000 weekly attendance? My pastor friend says when a church gets too big the pastor can't really tend to the flock.

I guess it depends on what one considers an "influential church" but the number one church, Saddleback, is way too big. And I don't care for Rick Warren much at all, nor his purpose driven life whatever thing. I find it focuses too much on you and not enough on God. Just my opinion.

Also, Robert Schuller isn't in charge of Crystal Cathedral anymore.

Greg Laurie is good. I listen to him on the radio.
